Putting astrology together piece by piece can make it a lot less daunting understanding astrology. The same way going step by step in construction is non-negotiable, this is true for astrology.
Now, you may want a leaning, sliding, structurally unsound home but I don’t!
You should think of astrology, and learn its core and foundational ideals, before jumping into assumptions or predictions!
What I consider basics🤔:
- Understanding what it is and why we use it
- Learning the Signs/symbols/Characteristics of:
- the Zodiac Signs
- Astrological Houses
- Planetary Bodies
- Know the elements and where each one feels comfortable, forced, smooth, rigid, etc.
- KNOWING YOUR OWN CHART BEFORE ANYONE ELSE’S!

What Is Astrology☯️?
As simply put as I can make it, Astrology is the belief, study, and usage of the positions of planetary/celestial bodies at the time of birth or any significant event to understand our own personalities and how we can or could better interact with the world.
Why Are We Still Using it🤷🏽♀️??
People discover and stick with astrology for a variety of internal and external reasons using different astrological charts. Some of these include understanding the self better, understanding others/loved ones better, Insights on existing, past, or potential relationships, and making properly timed decisions.
Other examples could include evaluating societal and even worldly events happening or to come, spiritual growth of the self and collective, or just having some fun and wanting to entertain themselves and others with knowledge!
The Zodiac Signs✨⭐️:
These twelve signs represent different characteristics of the personality/archetypes.
Each sign is associated with a specific element (fire, earth, air, or water) and modality (cardinal {beginning of season} , fixed {height of season}, or mutable {transition to next season}).
Each sign also has a tarot card association and planetary association which will be listed as well.
Please keep in mind, that this is only scratching the surface of information on the zodiac signs and their associations!
Aries♈️(March 21 – April 19):
Symbol: The Ram
Element: Fire = Mesmerizing, difficult to contain, enthusiastic, spontaneous, and optimistic!
Personality: Independent, Competitive, Instinctual/Impulsive, Confident, Strong, Stubborn, inflexible, head of household energy, hot-headed, knows how to outsmart others
Modality: Cardinal = Inspiration & Fresh Starts! Initiators of change, self-motivated, and leaders with a ‘can-do’ attitude!
Tarot Association: The Emperor = Leader of the pack, Fearless, In Control, Adventurous, Decisive, Willful, rigid/his word is law, intentional and sometimes impulsive, hard-headed, All business
Planet(s): Mars
Aries Rules The Head and the 1st Astrological House of The Self
Taurus♉️(April 20 – May 20):
Symbol:The Bull
Element: Earth = Stable, Solid, Physical, sensible, cautious, and slow moving.
Personality: Grounded, Sensual, Family Oriented, stable, conventional, committed to structure, value objects of comfort and beauty, value longstanding practices/rituals, immovable/stubborn (like a bull in a meadow lol), stands hard on their beliefs, dedicated, expressive (esp through language/music)
Modality: Fixed = Prefer the Known to Uncertainty. Clearly defined, thorough, enduring, stubborn, and dependable!
Tarot Association: The Hierophant = time honored values/beliefs, traditionalist, values faithfulness(even monogamy) and procreation, spiritual teachers often from experience, final authority in regards to faith-based matters because they are the bridge between worlds, impossible to placate, a solid rock in hard or fluctuating times

Taurus Rules The Neck and Throat, and the 2nd Astrological House of Material and Possessions
Gemini♊️(May 21 – June 20):
Symbol: The Twins
Element: Air = Quick witted, sociable, imaginative, elusive, and fleeting!
Personality: Curious, Communicative, Talkative, flirtatious, very playful/childlike, various thoughts and interests, duality, diversity, spoken word, written word, body language, ‘two is better than one and can coexist beautifully
Modality: Mutable = Ever changing & adapting steering things in the right direction! Paving the way for others they’re flexible, a bit chaotic, versatile, and inconsistent.
Tarot Association: The Lovers = quick thinking/smart, versatile, inquisitive, adventurous, kindred spirits who express vulnerably and openly, both romantic and platonic, even siblings
Planet(s): Mercury
Gemini Rules The the Arms and Hands (being ambidextrous is common), and the 3rd House of Communication, Sibling Relationships, early education, and Information processing
Cancer♋️(June 21 – July 22):
Symbol: The Crab
Element: Water = Emotional, inuitive, empathetic, and often invested.
Personality: Nurturing, Emotional, Protective, Mothers.motherhood, the home/family, move with purpose, take a piece of home everywhere they go, defensive, vulnerable inside and protective outside, rarely move on a single forward line because they use intuition to guide them, can lash out and hurt others in danger, sensitive, intuitive, moody, can be possessive/overprotective, affectionate
Modality: Cardinal = Inspiration & Fresh Starts! Initiators of change, self-motivated, and leaders with a ‘can-do’ attitude!
Tarot Association: The Chariot = high flying but always returns home, protective, intuitive, resourceful, cautious constantly moving eye like a driver, imaginative

Cancer Rules The Breasts and Stomach and The 4th House Of Home and Family Life
Leo♌️(July 23 – August 22):
Symbol: The Lion
Element: Fire = Mesmerizing, difficult to contain, enthusiastic, spontaneous, and optimistic!
Personality: Confident, Creative, Outgoing, Prideful, courageous, self-disciplined, fearless on the outside but has lots of respect/fear inside, knows others feed on fear so often hides it, generous, flamboyant, magnetic, loyal, honorable, regal, ‘showmen’, can be self-important and vain, earn the right to show off usually lol
Modality: Fixed = Prefer the Known to Uncertainty. Clearly defined, thorough, enduring, stubborn, and dependable!
Tarot Association: Strength = the calm after overcoming fear, respect for nature and external forces and the work they must do, valor, daring, willpower, warm, dramatic, strong-minded, optimistic, energetic, will hunt/retaliate without bitterness or regret, closeness entails risk

Leo Rules The Heart and Spine and The 5th House of creation/procreation, recreational time, dating, and creativity
Virgo♍️(August 23 – September 22):
Symbol: The Virgin
Element: Earth = Stable, Solid, Physical, sensible, cautious, and slow moving.
Personality: Analytical, Practical, Detail-Oriented, loves and values alone time, service, duty, wise, self-discipline, exact, reliable, conscientious, sometimes a perfectionist, value integrity and authenticity, rational, helpful, well-organized, conscious of health and routines
Modality: Mutable = Ever changing & adapting steering things in the right direction! Paving the way for others they’re flexible, a bit chaotic, versatile, and inconsistent.
Tarot Association: The Hermit = knows it’s lonely at the top!, keeps watch just outside of civilization, a beacon or guide for wisdom seekers, meditation, introspection, philosophy forward, more spiritual than physical, often has to be approached

Personality: Diplomatic, Harmonious, Conflict-Avoiders, balance, personal and political grace, problem solvers, compromisers, eases conflict/drama, often see both sides so are indecisiveness, very charming, social and humanitarian visionaries, artistic, aesthetic driven, values comfort and self pleasure
Modality: Cardinal = Inspiration & Fresh Starts! Initiators of change, self-motivated, and leaders with a ‘can-do’ attitude!
Tarot Association: The Justice = witness and teller of truth and honesty, the embodiment of cosmic/etheric order, helpful with a savior spirit

Libra Rules The Butt, Lower back, and purifying kidneys, and The 7th House of Long Term Partnerships/ Marriage, and Intimate Relationships
Scorpio♏️(October 23 – November 21):
Symbol: The Scorpion
Element: Water = Emotional, inuitive, empathetic, and often invested.
Personality: Intense, Passionate, Secretive and/or Private, unafraid, even fascinated with death/sex, conversion from one to anew
Modality: Fixed = Prefer the Known to Uncertainty. Clearly defined, thorough, enduring, stubborn, and dependable!
Tarot Association: Death = transitions, releasing, sex, sleep, can represent recent passings esp those unacknowledged, releasing off old habits/patterns/relationships that have served their purpose

Scorpio Rules the Reproductive Organs and the 8th Astrological House of sex, death, joint resources, and others money
Sagittarius♐️(November 22 – December 21):
Symbol: The Archer
Element: Fire = Mesmerizing, difficult to contain, enthusiastic, spontaneous, and optimistic!
Personality: Adventurous, Philosophical, Unhinged/A little Wild, higher education, long-distance travel, love the journey more than the destination, restless, the happy go lucky explorer
Modality: Mutable = Ever changing & adapting steering things in the right direction! Paving the way for others they’re flexible, a bit chaotic, versatile, and inconsistent.
Tarot Association: Temperance = moderation, made harder and tougher by time and experience

Element: Earth = Stable, Solid, Physical, sensible, cautious, and slow moving.
Personality: Ambitious, Disciplined, Work-Oriented, business mindess, understands the world’s trials and tribulations, career, worldly success, social standing, tangible property, material resources, physical action/existence, hard workers, high performers/achievers, responsible, enjoys high status and constantly seeking better, driven, can be prudent but patient and stable
Modality: Cardinal = Inspiration & Fresh Starts! Initiators of change, self-motivated, and leaders with a ‘can-do’ attitude!
