Sextrology + The 4th House | Privacy, Safety, and Comfort

Sextrology is a category of astrology that is focused on and centered around sex, sexual nature, sexual experiences, compatibility, sexual habits, and more!

If you aren’t familiar with astrology in the traditional sense, I’d recommend you look up your birth chart using astro-seek or cafe-astrology first. Then, follow along with the planet, sign, and house information I have either on my YouTube channel or in blog posts.

So, lets go through how your 4th House zodiac sign manifests for you according to Sextrology!

Aries

Safety for you isn’t about waiting comfortably; it’s about taking advantage of your freedom of mobility! You likely grew up in a home where you carried the label of independent or ‘first’ to do or survive something. Now, that’s where you feel most comfortable is in the driver’s seat. This doesn’t mean you like to have it all planned out; you actually prefer to have things free-flowing to make space for the spontaneous opportunities in between! This can even be true of the home, things manifesting as more minimalist than expected [You could own high-quality gym equipment or a large bed/dramatic bed-set]. Because of this, you need a partner who won’t just wait on or watch you, but a team player who will keep up with your energy and shenanigans. According to sextrology for you to keep leaning into the secure, intimate parts of your connection, try keeping things as playful as possible rather than slow, serious, or heavy. Light and airy keeps you satisfied, so have fun chasing!

Taurus

You are the master of comfort and sex, and intimacy basically encapsulates all things 4th house! This is because stability and comfort are the root of safety for you. Your family valued land, money, or held to things they just found highly valuable (also can manifest as hoarders in the family/environment). Now, you need your home to be full of sensory comforts and indulgences. A fridge that’s stocked, floors and furniture that smell clean, and anything else that adds to the methodically put together paradise [You could have a lot of textures in the home, heavy drapes, and many clean/musky scented items]. You don’t usually rush, especially when it comes to your security. What you enjoy is the physicality of it all. The physical experience of the environment and your partner being close and comfortable makes you feel like you can finally relax! So lean into this and purposefully slow down with your partner. Try with physical things (anything that activates the senses) like long massages or blindfolded taste tests to encourage relaxation and trust. Your partner must feel immovable and reliable!

Gemini

Unlike many, you grew up in an environment where being busy is the norm. It likely involved many kids or family members, lots of talking or arguing, or lots of noise and movement in general. You now or then also have a room with many books, sketchpads, screens, etc, because you feel at home wherever you can explore, express, and process your ideas. So for you, communication is comfortable and a baseline for your security. If you can’t talk about it, you can’t process the feelings behind it. This also means you can be quite good at talking yourself into and out of situations. You need a partner who is intrigued by conversation and hearing your side. For you, building intimacy and sexual tension can happen through verbal foreplay. Late-night chats or pillow talks, banter and witty jokes–these are the kinds of things that make you open up and feel secure doing so.

Cancer

For you, security is emotional, and privacy is a necessity! You either carry rich ancestral history, deep history with a mother figure, or your home could’ve been somewhat like an actual shelter from the world. This manifests as either total nurturing or emotional suffocation. Now or in childhood, you could’ve had a cluttered but cozy space–photos, lighting, candles, and heirlooms. You need to feel completely protected to feel secure, and you need to feel that security before you can show the soft, nurturing parts of you tucked within. For you, intimacy is rooted deep. It’s emotional, sentimental, and requires all parties involved to be raw and authentic. You are psychic and intuitively absorbent, meaning the connection you have to the spirituality in self and in the womb is deep. If you don’t feel safe and cared for, the reproductive system’s energy will be low (or ‘missing’). Try with your partner any rituals or experiences surrounding care: cooking together, cuddling, spa day, etc. Feel them as your safety net, and let them feel you as their feminine nurturer.

Leo

Your home isn’t just a home to you; it’s your royal palace, and you are the leader. You grew up with pride, knowing the importance of legacy and history, whether it be personal, family, business, or otherwise. There may have been moments when you were the center of the family connection or family drama. For you, feeling seen is feeling secure. You need a partner who sees you shine for you who are, for the little things you’re quiet about, instead of the things everyone knows. The more vulnerable you are, the more appreciation you need in return. This even manifests in the aesthetics of the home, including cold colors, gold or yellow accents, and performer quality pieces–and it’s not always for others to see. It’s important that your partner makes the moment about you, the connection, and the vulnerability. Being praised for your performance, rawness, openness, etc is the perfect way to make you feel safe in the connection. They must see the home as a ‘to-be-respected’ royal palace as well, and most importantly, you as the ruler.

Virgo

For you, cleanness actually is close to inner godliness. You feel safest in clean, organized, and well-taken care of environments. Growing up, you for a variety of reasons associated chores/errands with love or an act of love. This is the ‘fix it to make it better’ curse (or gift). As you get older, organization is key to functionality and comfort. If you are surrounded by mess, you will be a mess! Your home may be specifically organized, include functional beauty, and include things that add cleanliness, like air purifiers. It’s minimalists and ‘sterile-centric’! This is why you need a highly receptive partner, respects the space and is able to equally give and receive the love + help you give without asking. Something simple that leaves more room for sexual and non sexual intimacy for you is clearing physical space together before connecting. Or being clear, letting your partner know acts of service is your love language, so they know how to give and receive appreciation, how you’d enjoy it!

Libra

You are, and likely always have been, the mediator of the domestic realm. You grew up in a home that prioritized keeping peace or aesthetically pleasing appearances. So as an adult, you crave some beauty and balance (artistic skills may even run in the family). It’s physically hard for you to relax when there is conflict or ‘negative vibes’ in the air–it can lead to restlessness and burnout. Therefore, it’s important to have a partner who wants the same harmony you do and actively creates that experience in the relationship and environment. If life feels like a shared artistic piece vs an unequal disagreement, you are guaranteed to feel secure and safe. According to sextrology, keep the safe, sexual energy alive by focusing on the ‘we’ in all experiences. Do things like designing spaces together, going over bedroom dos and don’ts, and dressing up for each other (however that may be exciting to you!). Remember, it’s not about perfection or impressions; it’s about feeling emotionally safe enough to see pure beauty and comfort in your partner.

Scorpio

If you had a motto, it would be ‘For My Eyes Only”. There are a ton of people who do not know about you (by choice), such as heavy family secrets, trauma, or wild ancestral history. You are more familiar with the themes of inheritance, transformation, and ‘taboo’ domesticity than others. For you, home is where you can be vulnerable. You don’t have to stay strong or pretend to be polite; rather, you can remove your masks. You feel safest with a partner with whom you have an untouchable relationship, no matter how interesting or attractive it may be. no matter how intense it may get. You require depth and loyalty, and if someone can prove those to you it makes your walls come down. Your actual home likely manifests with dark colors, hidden spaces, and heavy locks or boundaries. It’s a bit psychological, along with stylistic. When it comes to sex and intimacy, this is especially true emotionally. Emotional honesty and openness are the foundation of the relationship’s security. Your partner must be able to get as deep as deep can go with you, no matter how it looks. Now and then, share something deep, dirty, and/or vulnerable to build more trust, which later enhances the physical.

Sagittarius

Funnily enough, what makes you feel right at home is a sense of freedom. This is because growing up, you either moved often, came from an immigrant background, came from a religious background, or went to various schools/institutions. The traditional setup felt suffocating for you, seeing as you’re comfortable with larger, more exploitative spaces. High ceilings, art from around the world, and fun, personally decorated rooms! You’re safest with someone who wants to explore with you, not stay small-minded! This can be literal travel, aesthetically, or intimately. So naturally, you also need your partner to be sexually ambiguous or at least open and willing. Trying new things together adds a strong mixture of security and freedom. According to sextrology, you feel safe being intimate when there is a baseline level of expression of freedom.

Capricorn

For you, nothing feels safer than security and solidity. Your private life is as serious as being the CEO of a multi-billion-dollar business. You likely grew up with structure, in an established home, with a traditional structure in some sense, or connected to a very well-known name. This also came with coolness, hard work, and a focus on discipline rather than desire. This carries on into adulthood, and you continue to need a high-quality and established home. For you, your love and security are a serious contract, commitment, and (hopefully) a legacy. This is seen in the classic home style, expensive buys, dark wood and leather, and items that (likely) appreciate in value! You can be someone who ‘warms up’, but that’s just you testing the solidity of the connection before you can feel completely comfortable. This may be why you’re more attentive to personal space than to lots of people you have relationships with. So, a good example of aligning with this energy to enhance your sexual life is having a sacred, scheduled time together. It’s about feeling confident and relaxed knowing everything is set, the plan is clear, and we’re all on the same page here!

Aquarius

As someone who grew up as the black sheep, you have a very personal, reinvented view of the definition of ‘home’. You don’t mind the unconventional, high-tech living, somewhat weird or eclectic environments. You could have grown up in community-based living or felt like an outsider in your immediate community. For you to feel safe, you need a partner who appreciates and, even more importantly, respects you for your weirdness. You want and need someone who will give you space to breathe, and still come to you with the warmth of ‘home’. You could even desire to have separate bedrooms or a very communal style set up. Seeing, feeling, and knowing your partner shares a vision for the future with you helps with connection and security. This feeling can also be found through the friends-to-lovers trope, often feeling safe around those with whom you share an intellectual relationship. Don’t be afraid to test the waters, experiment, and bring things into the bedroom that make you feel equally free and secure.

Pisces

You see the physical world as too much at times. Too loud, too overwhelming. You have a background of high sensitivity and emotional (or in some literal sense), sacrifice. Things like addiction and artistic/spiritual sensitivity may run in the family or have been seen often in your environment. Your home, especially to align with your natural, safe, and intimate nature, needs to be an imaginative dreamscape come to life. Lean into the softness with lighting and music. Although things end up disorganized, it adds to the drifting energy of the space. When you feel safe and comfortable enough to enjoy your fantasies, boundaries between you and your partner disappear. For you, there’s a difference between living with someone and evolving through reality with them. Use scents, sounds, and (safely) experiment with substances with your partner to escape the stresses of reality. Your partner must feel to you like a long-lost soulmate you’ve only connected with in your dreams until now!
