What Does It Mean To ‘Do Something With Intention(s)?☀️

When we are thinking, acting, or being with intention it means in that time we are mindful with our thoughts and emotions which are manifesting our reality. Setting intentions should always be followed with inspired action—so your thoughts and behaviors align. Remember, intention works when we are engaging: Our thoughts, our emotions, our actions, and our  belief system. 

I’m sure many of you have heard of ‘energy in motion’ as a reference to emotions. This concept is helpful in understanding mindfulness—what I find to be a necessity if you want to act with intention. As best said by Business Strategist, Author, and Philanthropist “Energy flows where attention goes”. When you’re both aware and intentional you manifest exactly what you are desiring/wanting to. 

By definition mindfulness is: The quality or state of being conscious or aware of something; attention. The Oxford English Dictionary

The definition of Intending, also from The Oxford English Dictionary reads: planning or meaning to do or be the specified thing.

I see ‘mindfulness’ and ‘intention’ as complementary words in a sense, working together in harmony.

Examples Of Setting Intentions🧘:

  • When I stir my tea, I stir it clockwise. The direction represents many things such as manifestation, creation, and positive energy flow. It helps me prepare and drink my tea mindfully, keeping in mind that I AM the creator of my Universe. That I can manifest with positive emotion and focus on the reality I desire.
  • If I wake up and say, “My intention for the day is to prioritize my self-care and grooming.”, I may take inspired action by creating a sigil based on this and drawing it in a couple of places. This way I can, again, mindfully manifest what I desire while interacting with everyday objects in my home. The most convenient way!
  • When I go to bed at night with the intention of dreaming or doing dream work (iykyk), I may take inspired action by listening to certain frequencies before or during bed. Or I might lay in silence that night, focusing mentally and emotionally on connecting with my manifestation.

Why Is It Good To Set Intentions🤷🏽‍♀️?

It’s common to think ‘Well I do things on purpose all the time’. However, when we are mindfully making decisions and thinking meaningful thoughts, our realities align with us in a way most can only describe as spiritual✨.
