It’s no secret that with all of the pros that come along with ‘WitchTok’ or other popular spiritual forums, there must be some cons as well. One of the downsides is the spread of misinformation, biased information, and diverse spiritual opinions online regarding spirituality, spiritual practices, and what is considered ‘correct’ or ‘incorrect’.

So, I’ve made this short list for my fellow spiritualists, conjurers, or however else you label your magickal self!

This is a reminder for you, and to help spark the important and sometimes controversial conversations!

Without Further Ado, Here Are My ‘Unpopular’ Spiritual Opinions!

People are often too open about their spiritual practices and follow too blindly in online communities.
People who only choose to acknowledge ‘Love & Light’ are actually often unhealed folks masking as spiritualists. It’s actually teaching and instilling toxic positivism onto the spiritual journey.
The universe isn’t always literally trying to tell you something, BUT you CAN find a meaning in everything, so use your discernment.
Lots of ‘online spiritualists’ don’t deeply innerstand what it means, feels like, or looks like to discern.
Questioning spirituality and the things you learn in your awakenings is encouraged! If someone’s telling you the opposite or shutting down doubt + free thought, they’re trying to convince you of their own religion.
You don’t have to actively ‘practice spirituality‘ to feel or experience spiritual blessings or benefits.
Basing your practice on trends or even what you saw a fellow spiritualist do is a surefire way to not truly BE spiritual. It should (at least mostly) be by you, for you.
Religion, although separate from spirituality, has its rightful place in many spiritual beliefs/practices. But it’s not required to know, understand, appreciate, or develop any spiritual habits!
